Bring Out The Comrade

I am not the kind of person who keeps reviewing the movies and writes about it. But sometimes there are some movies which captivate me like I can't stop myself from sharing my views and adding up some kind of info into it so that it might help my readers and it might make some kind of impact on everyone around. This will be my second blog on movies and the first South Indian movie, "DEAR COMRADE". First of all special thanks to Bharat Kamma sir for writing and directing such a great movie. And also would like to congratulate you and all the other members who helped to make this a great movie.

Most of us watch movies for enjoying some kind of action, romance, thrills, and dramas. But some of the movies are not just limited to these things. Sometimes they give us a life long lesson. This movie "DEAR COMRADE" is a full combination of action, romance, thrills, dramas and also a life long lesson. For someone over there this movie might just be like recalling their unsuccessful relationship or for some, it might be an example of true friendship and love and many more readers, many more views and perspectives. So just leave this here.

The thing which captivated me the most about this movie was that why for the sake of this so-called society we should hide something which is not a thing to be forgiven and to kill one's dream. Sexual harassment is not a thing which can be forgiven just for the sake of this so-called society or just for the sake of one's pride in this society. One simply can't misuse their power and ruin someone's future and also every one of us who tries to stop them from expressing their emotions showing them a fear of the society and the pride of the family are also the ones to be equally blamed.

We live in a society where instead of supporting someone we start judging them, we start talking about them and also we start making them feel guilty about the thing which they haven't done. We are not ready to hear the full story from both sides and we make judgments. I would love to share an experience that I and some NGO members (Behbood The Society) discussed a week ago. Our president shared a video and asked us if anyone is willing to have a discussion on that video. The video title was "DOES MARITAL RAPE TRULY EXIST"? In this video, the guy interacts with the people around and tries to know their views. It was shocking that most of the people were like we don't need any consent from our wives to have sex. And they say it is not marital rape. She is married to me so I have a right to have sex with her even if she doesn't have consent. This was really disgusting. Someone is not marrying you so that you can legally rape her. And even after if a wife can't tolerate her husband's pressure & decided to divorce, this so-called society will blame the wife and make her feel guilty about her decision which was not an easy decision for her to make. And in most cases, not only the society but even the family members tries to make her feel guilty about her decision. Why can't we just try to hear and understand the truth? Why do we give more importance to the people around us than ourselves? Why do we value our pride so much that we can let our child suffer throughout their life and let a criminal or a rapist or a marital rapist free and let them destroy other's life too?

These things do exist in our societies as well. But due to fear of the society and also the fear of families pride, they can't open up their emotions, their pain and such activities keep growing because there is no one to support the victims or in most of the cases even the parents don't let their child express any kind of such cases for the sake of their pride in this so-called society. But guys the thing that actually matters is not what the society will think but what you think because do you want to live with that pain throughout your life and do you want others to suffer as well or you want to live freely without any guilt and live your passion and dream.

Everyone is a comrade from inside but they only feel it when someone harms their family or their loved ones. But why can't we feel it for a random person who is suffering in our neighborhood, in public transport, in public areas and most importantly for a person next to us?

Speak out loud your pain, your emotions. There are still some good human beings who can feel you and are ready to support you and fight for your justice. Greatness is not only when you help someone you know but it is when you help anyone randomly without expecting anything in return.

Future Recruitment.

We are living in an era where the feature phones are replaced with smartphones, desktops with laptops, books with ebooks and such transformations are growing in every field. In this process of transformation, AI (Artificial Intelligence) is playing an important role in every field. Organizations these days are using new techniques for recruitment. The organizations now are more focused on advanced technologies for meeting the advancement in the world.

  • Use of AI.
  • Goodbye to Paper Resume.
  • Video Interviews.
  • Social Media.

Use of AI - AI stands for Artificial Intelligence. It executes the tasks that are usually carried out by humans. It helps to scan the CV's of hundreds of candidates and selects according to the commands inputted into the software. It has reduced the work for the organizations and also has saved a lot of time in previewing the CV. It helps candidates in many ways like the chatbot are always there to answer you right when you need them and it never takes a day off which means its always ready to answer you. Also, AI removes biasness as many organizations recruiters make their own judgments which are sometimes based on their mood and they can reject the most deserving candidate just because of their mood, but AI never does this.

Goodbye to Paper Resume - This is the thing which I too experienced as a part of my circular when I was in the 3rd semester of my bachelor's. We were supposed to make a video resume and submit it to the faculty. She made us do this because the new era is demanding such a kind thing for recruiting and so she wanted us to be ready for such changes. In a video resume, it helps the recruiter to identify a lot of things about the candidate like confidence, communicating skills and many more. It also reduces the copy-pasting of the resume and makes it interesting as well.

Video Interviews - Many companies, first of all, takes the online test and then select the candidates and then ask for the video interviews. Such companies are not located nearby which saves time and money for the company as well as the candidate as they should not wait in the long queue for the interview and also should not go to the other city just for the interview.

Social Media - This is the most important factor which now influences job seekers job i.e. with the help of AI, the companies can monitor your behavior and what kind of posts you share which helps them to know your behavior and your area of interest and also helps to find whether you will be suitable for the job or not and also the apps like LinkedIn is playing an important role in recruiting.

These are few advancements that the companies are taking in order to recruit candidates in the coming time. Just be sure that your any social media post don't affect your job in the future and also be prepared and updated with the advancement in the recruitment process so that if you have to do any video interviews or if you have to make any video resume, you can do it like a pro and fit in the job.

Find Yourself

We are so inspired by the famous personalities that sometimes we try to follow them, we try to be like them, for example, every new individual in the field of investment wants to be like Warren Buffett, every new entrepreneur wants to become like Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg and in every field, every new individual has a dream to become like the most successful person in that particular field. It's really great to be inspired by things that motivate you to be a good person, but do you really want to follow them? I mean to say do you want to be the 2nd Warren Buffett or the 1st you? Following them means you are trying to copy them, you are trying to follow the same path or routine that they followed, but do you really think following or copying the same path as they did will make you like them?

Everyone has a different question paper in life. Trying to copy others will take you nowhere. For example, Jay Shetty is an Indian British Internet personality, storyteller, and motivational speaker. After meeting a monk when he was 18, Jay started redefining success for himself. He now wanted a life of service, impact, and passion as opposed to money, fame, and power. After graduating with a 1st class BSc (Hons) Degree in Behavioral Science from Cass Business School, inspired to make a difference in the world, at 22 he went to live as a monk across India and Europe. He traded his suits for robes, shaved his head and lived out of a gym locker for 3 years. And that's how he finds wisdom for himself and now he is simply trying to "Make Wisdom Go Viral." He is one of my inspirations. Now it doesn't mean that I should serve as a monk and then I will find wisdom for myself. He has a different question paper in his life and I do have a different one. Here the most important thing is not to copy someone, but to learn how they achieve those feet in their life.

Okay fine, you are inspired by a person, you are not following them and are learning from them, but also you are unable to achieve the same height that the person who inspired you is having. And after trying for a few times, you change your inspirations and again the same loop starts and ever ends until and unless you don't be yourself or believe yourself. Let's discuss how it works.

The most common thing about all the famous personalities is that they believe in themselves or they be themselves i.e. when you go back in history and read or watch biographies of the famous personalities, you will find that there were a lot of people who never supported them for being themselves, who never believed them and in most of the cases, even the family members were against them for being themselves. But the thing that made them famous is because they believe in themselves, they never gave up on themselves and they never get affected by what people think and talk about them.

The most important thing we lack in our life is we don't believe in ourselves and give up after failing a few times. And also we do so believe in others that we stop being ourselves and start doing something else according to someone's choice. I would like to put a situation which will make this clear. I am a blogger by choice. I do write what I feel and what I felt at some time in the past and about the experiences and story based on true events of my as well as other's life. So if now after reading my few posts and blogs, anyone of my family members or anyone friends of mine or any senior or faculty told me what am I doing, why I am sharing my true events or bad experiences in public like this and that. What I am doing is I am being myself, I believe in myself and I know I will not regret doing this. So here if I stop being myself or believing myself and act as per my family members, friends, seniors or faulty, I might be someone good or great in future in their eyes, but I won't be myself, I won't be great in my eyes or I won't be happy because I have achieved something that is not of my interest or choice. And don't take it otherwise. I don't mean you should go against your family or friends, but what I mean is to be yourself and try to convince your family or friends if you truly believe in yourself and believe in what are you doing. And exceptionals are always there. But the most important thing is to believe in yourself even if no one is there to believe you and that's how you get your success, your deserving success.

"The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself."
— Friedrich Nietzsche

Be "Undistractable"

When you make a promise to someone, do you keep your words? Of course, you do.!! But why don't
you keep many promises you make to yourself?

We, in this era of modernization and new technologies, are so messed up that a single sound of a notification can disturb our focus and can divert our minds. Disturbance in our focus and diversion of our minds will not let us achieve our desired goals and also we won't keep many promises to ourselves. Let's discuss why do we get distracted and how can we overcome these distractions.

I mentioned about the modernization and new technologies because these are the things we blame for distracting us. Back in the '90s, people were less distracted from their work as compared to today because the development of new technologies was less and the adoption of modernization wasn't there. But at present, the technologies (basically here I am talking about mobile phones, laptops, iPad, tabs and all) are the daily part of human life. Some of us take technologies as a boon whereas the others take it as a bane. People who know how to use it or how much to use it or when to use it takes technologies as a boon and those who don't have any idea when and how to use it or who are over addicted take it as a bane.

It is simple, we are not focused and dedicated to our work that's why we get distracted. Here the new question arises is why are we not focused then? Don't we want to achieve our desired goals or we don't want to keep our words or what? Suppose let me put a case here to explain how and why distraction occurs. We blame our mobile phones, Netflix and many more such things for distracting us right? But why we in the first place go for those things? If we have work to complete, why we don't keep our phones on silent or why don't we close the wifi. Why do we watch Netflix instead of going to your scheduled workout? Here, in this case, distraction occurs because we are not serious and we take our work for granted.

While meeting anyone, if you are busy with your phones or with your own thoughts, the other person will never be with you again because you are distracting the meeting with your personal thoughts and phones.

While reading a book, if you keep checking your phone or keep thinking about hanging out with your friends, you will not be able to complete it on a promised date and time.

While studying make sure your main focus is on your studies instead of thinking about the girl or boy you meet a few days back in social media or about your future which will surely sink if you keep distracting yourself.

Or when you try to be fully present with your family, friends and find yourself busy somewhere else can make a negative impact on your relationships as well.

Everyone reading this is well familiar with the things that I have mentioned above, but also we keep repeating these things again and again and are being distracted.

An American author Nir Eyal who is known for his bestselling book Hooked: How to Build Habit-Forming Products, in a podcast of The Diary Of A CEO by Steven Bartlett explained about his new book Indistractable: How to Control Your Attention and Choose Your Life. He also shares how he regained and sustained focus while writing this book. I would like to share some of his teachings which he shared in the Podcast which changed the way I used to think.

  • If you really think the smartphones are distracting you and you can't do anything about it, replace it with feature phones.
  • If you can't give quality time to your family because you are busy with social media, you can buy an outlet timer and plug it in your internet router and set the time i.e. the internet will shut down automatically (you can also go and plug it out, but instead of doing so, make a little effort to have a quality time with family) between 9pm to 10pm so that you have quality time with your family.
  • Make a schedule and to-do list and strick with it whatever be the condition, until and unless there is nothing so important and serious.
Now I would like to share how can we indistractable by learning and adopting four key strategies from the book Indistractable: How to Control Your Attention and Choose Your Life :

  • To master internal triggers, learn how to deal with discomfort, observe urges and allow them to dissolve, and reimagine the trigger or task.
  • To make time for traction, turn your values into time, schedule time for yourself and important relationships, and sync your calendar with stakeholders.
  • To hack back external triggers, defend your focus, send fewer emails, get in and out of group chats at scheduled times, and turn off desktop and mobile notifications.
  • To prevent distractions with pacts, plan for when you’re likely to get distracted, make unwanted behaviors more difficult, and call yourself “indistractable.”
Now finally I would like to explain in simple words how can we overcome these distractions.
  • Make a schedule for a day or a week and follow it sincerely until and unless you don't have an emergency.
  • If anything you have written in the schedule to do, do it anyhow don't make it tomorrow work.
  • Spending more time on social media might give you comfort or pleasure, but it is taking your valuable time and giving nothing important for your better future. But if your spending 10 to 12 hours on your phones or laptops for a good purpose that might be you are influencing the lives of others and making changes then it's not a bane for you.
  • Make notification settings for the apps that you used the most so that while doing any important task, you won't be distracted by the notifications.
  • If you go for a cheat day (to all the gym lovers) and have a sweet, it doesn't mean you can have anything throughout your day. Strick to your schedule.
  • If you tried to focus for a day and it doesn't work, it doesn't mean you have to give up and say I can't do it. Overcoming your comfort zone will only help you to stay focused and achieve your words.
  • If you are facing a problem of focusing even after replacing your phones, try doing meditation. It will take time but will be helpful to you in the long run.

"Living the good life requires not only doing the right things but also not doing the things we know we’ll regret. Being indistractable, according to Eyal, is about understanding the real reasons why we do things against our best interests."

Don't Judge At a Glance.!!

Care for the ones who love you and pray for the ones who hate you. I forgot whose words were these but it's great. For the first time, I am writing things that I had to face most of the time and also you might have faced it too or might be facing it most of the time.

Who the hell are we to judge someone's life just by seeing them or to talk about someone just by seeing them. It is very easy for us to talk about someone or to judge them just by seeing. DO WE REALLY THINK WE HAVE SOME NATURAL POWER TO FIND OUT SOMETHING JUST BY SEEING?

Most of you might always hear why are you growing beard, long hair, or why are you not doing any job, or in case of girls why are you dieting, why were you late or where were you the other day or with whom. People keep asking me, are you trying to be a Muslim or are you being sainted just by seeing my growing beard but what's wrong is with you? What kind of mentality are you carrying? Do you even have any idea what are you talking about or where you are linking these things? Are you high? How can a person with a big beard become a Muslim or how can a person with a beard and long hair become a saint? I do think you must consult a psychiatrist as soon as possible.

I don't know what's wrong with the people around us? They have a full detail or they might know everything (as per their perspective and from their point of view) about their neighbor's child but are unaware of their own child. They might be judging or talking about their neighbor's child on his/her relationships, friends circle or whatever, but are unaware of their own child's relationships or friends circle and also they think their children are the most innocent kids in the world (maybe they might be innocent but it doesn't mean you should talk and judge someone from your perspective only and who knows when can time change and how will you tolerate the judges and the talks about your own child?) Not only in this case but in every situation and case, you should not judge anyone based on your perspective without knowing their condition because time is never on one's favor only, keep this in mind.

Nobody is fully aware of what's going in one's life cause time is never constant and everyone's life keeps changing. Let me put an example of my own and how some people judge me on the same thing which happened almost 4/5 years ago. It's strange but as truth is always bitter so does the mentality of some people. I had a breakup or you can say my heart was broken back in 2015, but what some of my friends or some people believe that I haven't moved on and I am still the same boy who dedicates status or posts for her or that "Dhuki Atma" type just by seeing my growing beard or just by seeing me writing blogs. I don't know that are they in the 21st century or they are back in the 90's or '80s. One of my juniors once asked me why I am keeping my beard long, I just said I love keeping it long and he was like I don't believe you. I just know that people who had a breakup or are Dhuki Atma type keeps it long. I didn't say anything to him at that moment because debating and discussion should always be done with the wise man.

This was an experience only but there are a lot of factors where people keep judging you. I was talking with one of my friends and I just loved a thing that she mentioned. Dating number of boys is not a bad thing. You are just dating, you are just interacting for the first time face to face with coffees or dinner and trying to know each other. And if you don't like them that's okay. But what some people do is they will judge you on the basis of a number of dates you did. But guys if you don't like a person it's literally okay to date the other person, it's not a bad thing until and unless you are not in a relationship or don't like anyone.

And the most shocking thing to know will be that people will keep judging you even if you have achieved some good heights in life or even if you are doing great with life and even if you have created the history, they will never stop judging you or stop gossiping about you. IF YOU ARE DOING WRONG OR DOING NOTHING, OR EVEN IF YOU ARE DOING RIGHT OR DOING GREAT, THERE WILL BE SOME PEOPLE WHO WILL JUDGE YOU.! Because they don't have any stuff to do in their life.

"The weaker you are the louder you bark." (-Tenten) Let them bark at you. There is nothing you can do about them because they are weaker and they don't have anything to do and also they don't know you and about your situation, so it's best not to explain anything with an unwise person and waste your time. Let them bark.!! AND PRAY FOR THEM.!!!

World Day of Remembrance

A person who is born today has to die one or the other day, it's natural. But an unconditional death in any accidents are more painful than the natural death. There is a saying When death comes, nothing can stop it, but it doesn't mean we should be careless about our lives and the others and let a person die in a road accident thinking their death has come and I can't stop it instead of taking them to hospital.

  • EVERY 24 SECONDS SOMEONE DIES ON THE ROAD ACCIDENT.
  • Every year 1.35 million die in a road accident in the world.
  • 20-50 million are disabled or injured.
  • 8th leading cause of deaths.
  • 1st cause of death among children aged 5-14 and among young adults aged 15-29.
  • Death of 3% of cyclist, 23% of pedestrians and 28% of motorcyclists.

In context of Nepal in last five years (2013/18), road accidents had claimed 9,000 lives.

These facts and rates of road accidents and deaths will keep increasing until  and unless the roads will not be maintained, drivers health, knowledge, skills, attitude and psychology will not be considered an important factor for road accidents and strict rules and regulations will not be implemented and applied efficiently.

It is not that easy for a person or a family to lose their loved ones in any road accidents because road accidents are uncertain events in life which can even happen when you are fully aware but the next person was driving unconsciously. On The World Day of Remembrance, I would like to sympathize with the parents, family, and every individual who lose their loved ones in a road accident. Also would like to request each one of us to stay focused and drive, ride or walk properly because your life is not only yours, it is of your parents, family and every individual who loves you. Your life is precious to everyone who loves you.

Normal speed meets every need.

Women Empowerment

"Educate a man and you educate an individual. Educate a woman and you educate a family". (-A. Cripps)
"Women Empowerment". What is women's empowerment? Before writing this blog, I asked a few of my female colleagues and also a few male colleagues about their perception on women empowerment. First of all, I would love to share their views and then I will be sharing my personal level of thoughts on this powerful topic.
  • Women Empowerment is not just about being independent or having knowledge; its something needed for the whole of mankind. One of my female colleagues gave me an example that if both husband and wife are working and when they are back home at night, why should only wife go to the kitchen and cook? As per her, until and unless this culture doesn't change, there is no women empowerment.

  • Many people think women's empowerment is a war that we are fighting against men in order to prove to them that we are superiors to them. But she(the other female colleague) believes women's empowerment is not a gender war as it is assumed to be. Empowerment is basically realizing that both men and women have their own strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes and inborn propensities. Women empowerment is the process by which women empower each other. We start to stand up for each other and help each other. It is a way of saying to the world that women are equal to men and women are standing up for themselves.

  • According to one of my male friends, he thinks women should be trained and groomed then allowed to fight in open competition. The quota system is kind of unfair to the best for the job. Encouraging women with free coaching facilities might help them to participate. But there should not be any discrimination in any kind of competition or work, the best candidate should be selected. And in case of any physical competitions, it should be divided into criteria i.e. criteria for men and different criteria for women.

  • Women's empowerment is basically about promoting equality through equity. It is a known fact that patriarchy has been prominent throughout history. Due to the evolution of the concept of women empowerment women have received what is known as basic human rights and are stepping forth into the mainstream.

I would firstly like to thank these friends who shared their views on women's empowerment. I do agree with each one of them. Now I would love to add a few more personal views about women empowerment.

Women empowerment is the process of giving women equal rights. When I say giving them equal rights, I mean right to education, right to awareness, right to make their own choice, right to proper healthcare, sanitation, right to work, right to make a decision, right to equality and right to live freely. You might be shocked knowing that in some parts of the world, women don't have access to even basic things like water, healthcare, sanitation, and education. Education with awareness is the most important means of empowering women because most of the educated people are involved in violence without being aware of the real value of a woman.

We also have a proud history of women leaders from all works of life Anuradha Koirala to Pasang Lhamu Sherpa to Mother Teresa and Madam Curie. Their work makes us believe that the world is full of possibilities. A world where women have equal opportunities and the world that is better not just for women but for everyone. I guess every individual reading this, will definitely agree with me when I say that women don't need any kind of favor or help from male counterparts or reservation from the government. They are strong, intelligent and capable enough to achieve from life whatever they want, the way they want. What they actually need is genuine love and support from male counterparts. If empowerment is done in the right way, it will not only help Women, it will help the whole of mankind.
